North Salem -- Mollie Lee WILLIAMS, 87, resident here many years died in her home at 5:30 pm Tuesday after an illness of 3 weeks. She was born in Maysville, Ky Dec 25, 1875, to William and Martha Carpenter Bateman, and in 1900 married William W. Williams in Ky. He survives with a son, Foster of West Newton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Bertha Johnson; Mrs. Mabel Kisner; Mrs. Dorothy McMullen; a sister, Emma Bateman and 30 grandchildren, 40 greats and one great great. A son and daughter are deceased. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at North Salem Methodist Church of which the deceased was a member, with Rev. Delmar Smith and Rev. Ross Marrs officiating; interment in West Newton. Friends may call at the Porter Funeral Home after 6 p.m. - kbz
